The Note

He saw you from between the stacks of books at the university library. It was as if he found a treasure. The note he wrote you was burning a hole in his pocket. This vision was serendipitous. He gained the courage to go to you on the other side. You looked up from your book. He smiled and said hi in a low voice. You smiled back, and that's when he handed you his note. It was folded in an interesting way. There was a tab that said "pull" on it, so you pulled, and the note unfolded to the original size of the paper. You looked up at him, standing in front of you. You figured out that he was waiting for you to ask him to sit. He didn't want to presume. You smiled as he sat. You began to read his note. When you were finished, you looked at him and said, "yes".
