There's Plenty of Fish in The Sea
CONTEMPLATIONS: "There's plenty of fish in the sea." We've all heard that phrase at one time or another within various contexts. It is, in fact, true. There are so many, too many to count! All of them have a unique beauty to them, which also works as a mechanism for their safety. Their visual vibrancy, in some cases, such as tropical species, act as a warning to predators that they are poisonous if consumed. Their survival depends on their ability to possess boldness about them. Their ability to adapt to the harshness of their environment should be commended. Mother Nature really knew what she was doing! In that case, why can't we celebrate our own bold uniqueness? Have you ever had someone feel threatened by your authenticity? Did someone try to calm you down because you were happy and they didn't understand it? Well, if so, you can relate yourselves to the fish in the sea. You will eventually find the ones who appreciate you and can relate to you. There was nothing wrong with you, there never was. You shouldn't feel inferior because a person, or even a group of people, didn't understand you. Those judgments come from people who never took the time to understand you. It's a problem on their end that they try to resolve by belittling you. It was never about you. It's always about how they see themselves. Never be afraid to express your colors, because that's how the ones that will love you will find you. You're never going to be alone* because there's always plenty of fish in the sea! 🐟🐠🐡
* We are never really alone when we are our own best friends first. We are the first person who truly understands ourselves. We are the protagonists of our existence. When we feel like our current environment dims our shine, we are always free to move to other environments that appreciate our shine, even celebrate it! And, by environment, I mean the people you surround yourself with. It makes a huge difference when you finally realize you can move on. Real friends will find a way to keep you in their life. Fake friends or opportunists won't care and will move their oppressive personalities to someone else to start the cycle again. We always have a choice!
