Healing Retreat

He was visibly angry when he found out you were betrayed by people who you thought were your friends. He didn't hesitate to recommend taking you away, far away from this toxic environment. You have been together for a year, and you kept nothing from each other. His family had a home that was currently vacant. It is an ancient structure of a little over a century old. He wanted to comfort you, and within the sand walls of the historic dwelling, that's just what he did. When you arrived, you were amazed at the unusual structure. He explained that it was purposely designed like that for climate control. The heat of the desert naturally ascends to the higher zones, allowing the lower levels to remain cool. There are also towers of wind catchers that capture the air and send it down to the spaces below, acting as the first natural power air conditioner. You admired the innovation and felt better already since a little distance from the familiar life as well as fresh air helped in getting your mind off your troubles. You two spent a month there, alone, and you both thoroughly took advantage of your time together there. He knew just what you needed as well as what to do to bring you comfort. One night, he suggested spending the night on the roof. It was flat and the dome was at the center. There were beautiful ornate rugs layed scattered up there. It made it comfortable, especially with the hand embroidered cushions upon them where you two could lounge. As you both lay there,  looking straight up into the sky,  you noticed the Milky Way and several shooting stars. You both smiled upon viewing them. He then turned to face you, saying that he'd rather look at you under the night sky, and he said that no star could compare its radiance to you. You shared an embrace that led to euphoric moments that expelled any negativity that had built up inside you as a result of the unfavorable interactions you had prior to him knowing about it. After the month ended, you both headed back to the city together. He drove while holding your hand and caressing your palm gently while he focused on the road. You reminisced in your mind about all the sweet kindness he showed you. He promised he'd comfort you whenever you needed it. You smiled, and he smiled back at you. You felt like the luckiest person in the world to have him by your side. You wanted to thank him for his kindness, so when you got home, you used your free time to paint. Eventually, you gave him a painting that you mentioned was inspired by him.

The colors and patterns resonated with him. His eyes lit up upon seeing it, and the day he asked you to move in with him, you glanced at the wall behind him where your painting was, you accepted because you admired how he is encouraging. He is light in human form. He has healing energy. Anything is possible with him, and he admires you. Looking back at your happy life together, you visited that historic home almost every year. You both eventually moved in, and it was your forever home where you made endless memories together.♡
