Club Metropolis Encounter
Metropolis movie, 1927 still shot, edited by me.
Timothée Chalamet and DJ Amazonica at the London Premiere of Dune 2, Warner Bros. UK.
You can still hear the music, but you were partially outside. You both went and stood by the edge of the terrace where there was a wall of glass and metal. He pulled out a cigarette and offered you one, but you declined. You didn't feel quite like smoking at that moment since you had a drink. He asked about you, and then you got to know him too. You told him that you like coming here alone just to unwind every so often. You live in a high-rise apartment about a block away. You both were shocked that you never noticed each other before. It was probably because tonight was the first time you were both there at the same time. As the night progressed, you felt that he was really nice and you started to like his charm. You went in when it was the time for his session.
You loved his sound. He kept glancing at you in the crowd. You smiled every time. By the time the night was over, you had exchanged numbers and made plans for a date. You went to a lot of interesting places throughout the year because you fell in love quickly. On the 5th date was when things got more serious.
It was as if you were meant to meet. That was on November 11th at 11:11pm. His label eventually headlined him at festivals around the globe. You joined him and got a taste of what it's like being on tour. It was so fast paced, but it was exciting. You stayed at some beautiful hotels with amazing views and ambiance. You got to meet some of your favorite music producers. You were introduced as his girlfriend. Everyone was happy to meet you. You couldn't believe the experiences you were having with him. One of the locations in Santorini, Greece. You had never been there before and you were amazed by the aesthetics of the white structures on the hills and the clear turquoise water surrounding it. It looked amazing at night with the glow of the lanterns.
That was his last set and tour date. When you got to your room around 4am, you both decided not to sleep since you had no obligation the next day. You decided to take a dip in the pool that began in your room and continued to the terrace area where it overlooked the ocean.
You decided to watch the moonnset and then the sunrise. You fully took advantage of your time alone together. It was magical and you both confirmed your love for each other that night. When you eventually went home, you were inseparable. You got to show him your world this time. You were an assistant designer at a design firm in which you'd eventually become a partner after managing many high profile projects on your own. You showed him some of your designs. He loved it and asked you to design his new house.
You were excited to do that. When you were done, he asked you if you would do one more thing. You said sure, what is it? He smiled and then got down on one knee. You just then realized what was happening. He knew you knew too, but he kept going, while trying to hold back a chuckle. You were too, since this whole situation was such a surprise, but you loved that about him. He opened the ring box. It was a beautiful brilliant cut diamond on a possibly square platinum band. It was very chic and modern.
He knew you so well. You said yes before he even had a chance to fully open the box. You were so in love. You kissed right there in the kitchen next to the beautiful island you designed. He then said that he had one more thing. He then pulled out a keychain that had an evil eye motif. He got it from Greece when you weren't with him. On it was a single key. The key to the house.
You were so excited that time flew for the both of you. You moved in and eventually had your wedding on the property. It was delightfully low-key but very special. The view of the home was the ocean which reminded you of your night in Greece a few years ago by this time. You became a successful artist with exhibits and commissions around the world and he continued his tours and albums. You both collectively inspired each-other for your art. You thought to yourself that you were very grateful for that unknown guy to bump into you in that Metropolis club. He changed the trajectory of your life for the better!
