Script Excuse
You were walking to your car from the coffee shop when you got a text. Once you sat in your car, you checked your phone. Your eyes lit up when you realized it was from Timothée! He wrote, "Hey! What are you doing right now? Want to come over and hang-out? They sent me the script for my next movie, and I thought you might like to do a reading together for fun!" You smiled and thought that would be something interesting to do. You were curious about his next role and you also missed him because you weren't able to see each other for a week since you both were pretty busy lately. You responded to his text by saying, "Sure! That sounds interesting! I just got a coffee when you texted me, do you want me to get you one too before I head over?". He responded by saying, "Thanks, I'd love a latté with almond milk please!" You smiled and went back in to order his drink. Once you did, you responded to him, "got it, omw". He then sent you a ". You arrived at his house and punched in the gate code he gave you and pulled up to his driveway since his new house has plenty of room for parking off the street. You went up to the door holding the coffees and rang the bell. He opened the door and when he saw you, he had a big smile and welcomed you in. He then offered to take the coffees from you and then gave you a hug. He smelled nice, like elegant light cologne. You both head into the kitchen and he set the tray down on the island. He offered you some pastries that his assistant dropped off earlier. You both hung out in the kitchen for a while catching up. Then he asked if you wanted to see the script. You nodded, then you both head into the living room and sat on the sofa next to each other. He grabbed the script from the coffee table and opened it to a tabbed page. He began reading his part, then he handed it to you and pointed to your lines. You read them to each other and you even added your own flair to the lines. He was smiling as you read your part. Eventually you realized the parts were between a couple in the story. One line led up to a passionate kiss. When you noticed that, you looked up at him and he had a huge grin, then you understood what he was doing. You began to read the line that lead to his lines where he would eventually kiss you. When he got to that part, he set the script down and slowly turned to look at you. You knew that look well. (You've been dating for a while.) He then leaned in, and you began to lean in too until your lips made contact. Before you knew it, you were kissing passionately. You both decided it was more fun to keep kissing rather than read more of the script. You basically had an idea of the plot by now, anyway. You also knew the script was just an excuse to invite you over. This moment was really the reason to be there... to be together and to enjoy your time together. You thought about how cute he was to use that as an excuse as you gradually laid back as he was kissing you. You eventually spent the afternoon making out and listening to music, because why not? It was a good day and evening together, after not seeing each other for a week.
