Post ACU

He finally wrapped filming ACU. He had been preparing for that roll for a long time. He spent his free time honing his guitar and singing skills. Now, he was free of those necessities. Most of the filming was done in New York and nearby areas. He was  getting ready to fly home. He called you from his hotel room after he got back from the wrap party. The good thing was you had a 3 hour time difference, so the call wasn't too late for you. He was a little drunk but coherent. He said he missed you and couldn't wait to come home and be with you after a long time apart. You had communicated often when he was away, but this was different. He will be home tomorrow evening, and you'll finally be in each other's arms again. After you said goodnight, you thought about doing something special and relaxing for him.  You went to bed thinking about ideas. 

You didn't live together, but you had a key to his house that he gave you before he left to film ACU. The night before he left to film, he said, over dinner, that he wanted you to have it, smiling as he handed the keys to you. It had a cute keychain with a few custom silver-tone charms. One was in the shape of a guitar, another one was the House Atreides logo, and the 3rd charm was a bar of chocolate. When you saw it, you were overcome with emotion and couldn't say a word. You hugged him as your eyes welled up. He also held back tears as his eyes welled up too at the sight of you. 

The next morning, you woke up bright and early, excited that you were going to see him tonight. His flight arrives around 6. By the time he gets home,  it will be around 8 or 9, depending on the traffic. You figured he'd be too exhausted to go out, so you packed an overnight bag for yourself and then went shopping for things to make for dinner. You wanted him to have a cozy evening at home. You also thought to book a stay at a resort in Sedona for a week where it would be peaceful and slow-paced. You planned it for the coming week and thought it would be a fun homecoming gift. 

     You had just finished preparing dinner when you heard the door. You walked to the foyer where you saw him. When he noticed you, his face lit up and he dropped his bags right there to embrace you. He said he missed you so much and is glad to be home with you. His assistant brought I'm the last of his luggage and offered to take them upstairs. After they left, he turned to you and smiled while he was still holding you. He kissed you and then said, "I'm so happy to see you here." Something smells good. You told him you made dinner. He got excited and said he was starving. You both made your way to the kitchen where the table was already set. You put the food on the table as he poured two glasses of wine. Then you both sat down to eat. He talked about work, and you both caught up on everything by the time you finished dinner. He got excited about the Sedona trip you planned. He had never been there, so he was curious about it. You smiled and told him it's a beautiful magical place and that he'll love it. Eventually, later that evening, you decided to watch some late night TV while you finished the bottle together. By that time, you sensed that he was tired as he leaned his head on your shoulder. You turned to look at him, and his hair was covering his eyes. You pushed them away, and he looked up at you. He looked so beautiful in the dim light. I'm that moment you remembered that you forgot about dessert. You mentioned it, he smiled, then slightly bit his lip before saying, "You are the only dessert I want right now." Then he leaned in and kissed you as you sunk into the sofa cushions. You can feel the mood shift, so you both got up and quickly went upstairs together.

     The next morning, you opened your eyes and turned to see him sleeping next to you. He looked so relaxed, and his toned arm hugged the pillow under him. You felt so happy that you were together again. You were about to get out of bed to go make coffee when he noticed and opened his eyes. That's when he grabbed your arm gently and said playfully, "Where do you think you're going?" You said you wanted to go make coffee. He said that can wait as he pulled you closer to him. You gladly obliged since this moment was more uplifting than caffeine. You spent many hours in each other's arms this day. You loved every moment you spent together. He was especially hooked on you on the days after returning from work related travel. He said he was excited about the trip you planned as you both finally made your way to the kitchen to have brunch together. The rest of the day, you were inseparable. ♡
